Our
Collection Process
When you list a
debt with us, it is loaded into our system and allocated a
reference number. We then take immediate steps to collect the
debt. The below steps are how a typical collection is made.
-
Debt received
from client and reference number allocated.
-
Immediately
start correspondence with your debtor with 7 day letters (
Maximum of 3 letters sent )
-
Personal
telephone calls are also made during this time to ensure
maximum communication and a report is established with your
debtor.
-
Payment is
then either received in full or an agreed payment schedule
is set up via automatic payment.
Should the debtor
still be unresponsive and there is no dispute, the following
actions could be taken.
1. Default
listing – List the debtor and debt with a credit reporting
agency.
This will affect the individuals/companies credit rating for 5
years.
2. Personal
visit – We can arrange for one of our field agents to visit the
debtor to obtain payment, or collect a completed automatic
payment authority.
3. Legal
action – This would be the last step and what action is taken
would depend on whether the debtor is an individual or a
company. The following is a guide on what options are
available.
